WHEN he opened Leighton Hospital's new Treatment Centre at the end of 2005, His Royal Highness Prince Andrew was keen to meet League of Friends members during his time at the hospital. The Duke of York is the Patron of the National Association of League of Friends, having taken over from his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

The Duke of York talks to members of the Trust's staff, Doris Jennings (founder member of the League of Friends), immediately to the left of the Duke, and Faye Bennett and Miriam Andrews (both Committee Members and Trustees of the League of Friends) immediately to her left.
